Projects listed in Schedule 2 of the Environmental Assessment Act, 2011 must obtain an EIA authorisation from the Department of Environmental Affairs before works commence. We deliver a lender-ready assessment built on the same international frameworks that project-finance banks and DFIs actually audit against.

What’s included

  • Schedule-2 screening and scoping report
  • Stakeholder engagement plan and public-consultation record
  • Baseline desktop review (biophysical, biodiversity, socio-economic)
  • Impact significance analysis using the mitigation hierarchy
  • Cumulative-impact and climate-risk screening (TCFD-aligned)
  • Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP)
  • Grievance-redress mechanism design
  • DEA submission, public-review handling and authorisation receipt

Who it’s for

  • Developers progressing mining, tourism, infrastructure or energy projects

Why The Secretary

  • Team blends environmental scientists, lawyers and DFI-trained E&S specialists

  • Optional monitoring and reporting retainer post-authorisation
